We're leaving in twelve hours' time, but it hasn't sunk in yet, so I'm not feeling very excited. In fact I feel very normal.
I guess I'm just not looking forward to missing out on my nice bed, my room, my nice warm showers, my privacy, my free time, my Internet and all... Sigh.
Plus this morning I had a pretty shitty day in school, despite the fact that it was also one of the slackest schooling days for the seven of us. During Math, Mdm Lee made us sit seperately at the left side of the class, nearer to the corridors, in one group and the rest of the class took up the rest of the room, so we were like this drifting isolated island. So in Math and Bio and CCT, we were like on different wavelengths from the rest of the class. When everyone was busy doing IM1 past year and going through Bio questions and prep-quizzes with Mrs Wong, we were like... busy chatting away about which bunk we were gonna take and where we were gonna sit on the airplane.
And I found myself sandwiched in between Jia Yi and Meiling, with Qianhui in front of me. Which turned out to be a rather bad choice because they kept talking about something Korean-related and I was like trying to pay attention to Mrs Wong but I kept hearing Korean references -.-
I think the day was made worse because I'd forgotten to bring -cough- and my godawful annoying shoe was cutting into my ankle and I think there's a scar there now. I mean, nothing new, it has happened to me before, every single time I wear this shoe, but it still hurts like hell so for the entire day I ended up walking like some weirdo.
After school, Mummy and I went to nex to buy last minute stuff although I was quite shacked out and all and I just wanted to go home and bathe and fall asleep, but I couldn't because I still hadn't packed my luggage -.-
So in nex we basically ran around everywhere. First we went to NTUC at level 3, then Popular at level 4, then some gift shop at the other end of level 4 from Popular (actually it was quite close to Popular, we just found ourselves walking in the opposite direction =.=), then Watsons at level 2, then Isetan at the really-far-opposite end from Watsons.
After all that walking... went to post office at Serangoon Central to get the stamp and post Nina's letter. At long last (:
And so, home, and the hated packing began.
As of now, I've more or less finished with the packing, but there's still some stuff here and there that haven't been packed, like my laptop cables, because I obviously need them for my laptop now. I do hope it's like way lighter, not like just by a couple of kilograms, than 20kg. I think I'll take the electronic weighing scale from Mummy's toilet and yank the entire luggage onto it and cross my fingers. Hopefully the glass of the weighing scale doesn't break. It shouldn't. Since it says it can take a maximum weight of 150kg -nods head-
That blue thick Nanyang sweater-pullover thing is quite annoying. I folded it and stuffed it into my Crumpler which I'm bringing handcarry, and it ended up taking up more than half the space so now I've to somehow squish my laptop in as well. And make sure my Crumpler closes nicely, because I really hate it when Crumplers don't close properly and show just a teeniest bit of velcro. I go all insane and rip it noisily open again and arrange everything nicely and force the thing to shut all the way.
I should sleep early, but that means I have to turn off the com now and I still wanna spend the most time I can with internet (:
I shall not air my already-made-grievances about the hostels. I'm really brimming with them. Ugh, imagine what I'll be like in Fudan -.-
Please, please, please I pray that tomorrow will be a safe flight... Why did we have to watch Seconds from Disaster - of all shows possible - tonight during dinner, and it so happened to be documenting a case where a fire onboard a plane caused it to plummet straight into a swamp??
And I pray that I will ______ -cough cough cough- Something. Yes. PLEEEEEEEASE.
Bye blog ):
I still haven't decided which pillow/stuffed toy to bring along, and whether to put it in my handcarry or luggage.
Maybe Boo, in my handcarry, since my luggage is all squishy now :D
