So.
My last few hours in Paris. My last few hours in France. And then soon I'll be back on the plane to work and stress and... dot dot dot.
Mummy and Han Wei took the SIA flight back to Singapore this morning, so Dad and I spent the rest of the day in Paris (and our hotel in CDG) since our Air France flight is at 11.25 pm. Details below where the pictures are (:
Just imagine some aliens farming and catching humans and skinning them alive so that they can wear human skin. Though I've no idea who the hell wants to wear human skin, but yeah.
I really love this song!! :D TVD playlist~
I just had to post this... Badass Stefan :D
Okay photos from the family vacation in southern France.
In a little village we stopped by on the way to Sarlat (after picking me up from Bordeaux), I saw this sign saying "Vieille Ville" and thought it was quite a cool tongue twister.
They still use those old glass bottles (like beer) with the serrated metal caps that you've to use a special tool to pop open!
A cave which name I have forgotten... Full of Cromangon paintings (i.e. cave paintings) and totally... wow.
Han Wei leaning against the rock, if it isn't obvious enough.
Someone drew a really nice picture of a bull. The rest were all kids' drawings in crayon -.-
Bison caca!
"Yo what you lookin' at"
-approaches-
-sniffs-
-perks ears in interest-
"Hello, human."
Han Wei you seriously look like a green and blue marshmallow. Or a walking rainbow, as you call it.
"I see you..." O:
Argh they flipped my angry (fake) bison over to the side!! Now the angry bison's really angry.
Reminded me so much of Dino...
And Daddy went to park there -facepalm-
Random castle which name I have forgotten. One of the many. Actully the only castle names I remember are Roquetaillade (of course), Cheverny, Chambord and Chenonceau.
Ice forming on the railings!
Senior and Junior Koh playing with (ice cold) water -headdesk-
There eez SNOW O:
The temperature outside is...
-1 degree celsius!
That was on the way to Clermont-Ferrand (or however you spell it). It got even colder in Chamonix and Méribel.
Snowing~~ In Clermont-Ferrand.
It's more obvious if we have someone (me -.-) standing there...
And even more obvious in Han Wei's spiky hair.
On the way to Chamonix.
We actually stopped because Han Wei was pestering Dad to play with snow --"
I am not surprised.
The thick layer of snow!! Oh goodness I miss the snow D:
Icicles forming! Han Wei had to go on and destroy them shortly after this photo was taken -narrows eyes-
Chamonix!
The French Alps... Near Mont Blanc.
They have a United Colors of Benetton all the way here o.o
And we had a bunk bed in our hotel room. Han Wei had to take the top bunk (of course) since I'd already claimed the bottom one :D
Even thicker layer of snow ._.
I drew it!! On some random person's car.
Once again, the childishness of both Senior and Junior Koh shows.
My brother loves collecting the weirdest of stuff. Not stamps nor stickers, but rocks and pinecones and seashells (okay this one is fine) and icicles?!
Wanted for murder by icicle.
Drawing smiley faces on the snow on the cars of random strangers.
By Dad.
oomph.
Making snow angels.
Copy Rachel Ng's style heh :D
"NOOO DON'T KISS ME!!!!!"
"Just one!"
"Argh okay!!!"
-proceeds to attack camera-
Onion soup that makes you fart.
Escargot... 0.0
Dad's hearty shorts which I found (and still find) very amusing.
Preparing to ski at Méribel...
I look like such a dork. Like I need to pee ._.
On the ski lift...
And the temperature 0.0
A dog which fell in love with Mummy's scratching.
More snow.
Making snowballs -.-
Sometimes I feel so old and mature beside those two.
The distorted snowman.
We were waiting for the freakin bus and there my brother was... making snowmen and snow angels -facepalm-
Sometimes I even wonder if he's even related to me at all.
The Russian snowman. See the hat and the nose??
Long, very scary, very deadly icicles o.o
Attempt number 1...
Attempt number 2...
Attempt number 3...
Attempt number 4...
Attempt number 5... SUCCESS!
The Palais des Papes of Avignon.
"I... can't... control it!!!" -dashes after pigeons-
My brother has this weird urge to chase birds whenever he sees them. And this has been programmed in him ever since young. For example, the case in Perth when he was about 2 (and I was about 4) and he started chasing after a gaggle of geese (was it geese? I forgot what birds.) and didn't look where he was going and stepped right smack into a pile of cow excretion.
11 years down the road and he's still the same. Refer once again to previous comment, 10 pictures before this one.
lol.
Planet Sushi!
In Marseille, the night of Christmas Eve.
Before.
After.
I honestly felt like puking when I saw what our entrée was in a restaurant during Christmas lunch.
The dish filled with cheese wasn't any better.
The best dish was still the dessert.
A smiley face on my dessert plate o.o
Han Wei teaching Colas how to play that Malaysian game thingum.
Our Christmas dinner with Nina's family in a Chinese restaurant in Marseille.
Showing Nina I could hold a pea with my chopsticks :P
Tada! :D
Yes I was wearing the blue Nanyang pullover over the Fudan blouse ._.
Random lazing black cat.
Horse riding! Beautiful Camargue horses~~
They have weird signs.
And also weird ice cream flavours.
Sadly, I was forced to eat the 2 raw oysters and 6 raw mussels on this plate. Thankfully, I didn't have to eat the snails.
Prawnie is staring at you with huge sad eyes...
Reminds me of Bill the Krill and Will the Krill in Happy Feet Two.
OOOOOOO:
Guess what??
It's the base of a stick of bread o.o
Inside the same stick of bread.
Looking through my empty cup of glass.
Through the same stick of bread... hollowed out by Han Wei.
Looking into the green glass bottle of wine.
Some random sauce Dad spilled on the table cloth. Looks like bird shit right.
The crumbs left on my plate.
Pepper.
This is self-explanatory.
So is this.
And this.
Mummy helped me take this one. Yes, she was laughing all along while I (was attempting to) took ninja photos of Dad sleeping.
Dad's eye -.-
lol.
Somewhere in Montpelier. Forgot how to spell it.
The moon!! :D
No, this is not what you think it is.
It's really chocolate. Squashed chocolate. Han Wei was entering the car and sat on the seat without looking first and realised that he was sitting on something squishy and stood up and realised that he had sat onto a piece of chocolate. Or at least what was once a piece of chocolate.
Desperately trying to clean the chocolate off.
And then he used the used maps to cover the seat... -faints-
The ostrich going around, pecking at the windows of the cars.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Talk to the
hand butt.
"I have a moustache on my head."
A sleeping (or is it dead??) zebra.
More caca.
The upside down tile I found in the toilet cubicle I was peeing in.
They have very... detailed floor plans of the toilets.
Um.
Han Wei and I had a very good laugh over this. And Dad (or was it Mummy I forgot) had to add on something very... crude which I shall not put here for discretion.
Dad's flowery handcarry bag which I had another very good laugh over.
And finally... our airport hotel room at Sheraton at the Paris CDG Airport! Our room overlooked the runway so we could see planes taking off all day.
Another prawn from this morning's breakfast.
Han Wei holding the prawn by its... whisker thingy.
Ah!!!! Beheading it!!!
-dead-
Han Wei and his completely deshelled (even the tail) prawn.
And my first cup of Starbucks in 5 weeks!! :D They didn't have green tea cream, though... Tant pis!
The random square place Daddy and I went to this late morning (after seeing Han Wei and Mummy off) which is near Notre-Dame.
The road that the bookshop we visited (or rather,
I) this afternoon!
Tada!! Managed to find
A Clash of Kings which I'm totally reading on the plane later, and found a book by Michael Crichton for Han Wei.
HAHAHAHA.
Calf's head served as a main dish in a restaurant o.o
The squashed (many times) prawn on the pavement beside our table (Daddy and I did our lunch today al fresco style) and I winced and moaned whenever someone stepped on it since it was a pretty busy pavement.
The fate of the prawn after this photo? The waiter saw me bending down to take a macro shot of it so he cleared it in the end. May it rest in peace -wipes tear from eye-
Overwhelming number of flights at CDG...
And just in case I don't have time to blog this Saturday...
