Anyway, it'll be over soon. I mean two days. Two days out of all the thousands I've lived through. They're just about as inconsequential as an electron as compared to the entire freaking universe.
One of the past French lessons, Mlle Fournier (who is from Marseille, as weasled out by Rachel Wu last lesson) told us something I found very meaningful and inspiring. She said the French don't like to refer to different races as races. Like Chinese race, Malay race etc, because they think that all humans are one race: the human race. Which I found kind of true. We call ourselves belonging to the human race, yet we still segregate oursevles and call our different groups as different races... Weird much?
Took ages to finally be able to get this photo.
Talk about hoarding.
So, there. Other people have super balls and I have a freaking chicken's heart.
But anyway I threw it away already because it kept sticking to random places (like my sink) when I wanted to dry it (because it kept leaking ethanol), and I couldn't stand to have its base end up taking the shape of the surface it was on, so I gave up and threw it away.
But I woke up this morning and found out with great sadness that the air had escaped and the bubbles had disappeared during the night )):
Gotta have to throw the slime away soon too. Someone told me that over time, mould will grow on it and/or it will decompose O-O
So I waited for really long for Dad to come and pick me up, and I was busy tweeting all my responses and whatnot while sipping my green tea frapp.
"Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!"
"They kept repeating that one line though..."
"But seriously. If the fashion is gonna be like that in the future, I think I'd rather kill myself."
"And I totally hated that girl from district 2"
"And President Snow."
"I wonder if that guy-who-was-made-to-eat-berries-in-the-end's curly beard was painted on or was it a sticker"
"AND MA QIANHUI OWES ME $7.50"
"One of the best parts: @NeoJingCi whistling softly when Katniss whistled (Y) I could hear even from 6 seats away"
"And then we were giggling like crazy after @NeoJingCi whistled"
"Plus the entire cinema was filled with university students for once I felt young ._."
"@NeoJingCi I won't mind if you start whistling the hunger games tune in class :D"
"Argh that hornet part was really... URGH. I kept swatting my neck. I HATE BUZZY INSECT NOISES."
"The Gale-stares-enviously-at-TV-while-Katniss-and-Peeta-kiss parts were somewhat hilarious, though"
"But that last scene of Katniss and Peeta in the Capitol... Katniss' blue eyeshadow seriously DID NOT go with her white dress"
"But why they never use Safe and Sound in the show at all DDD:"
The shorter trailer for the sake of my parents who don't know what The Hunger Games is and have been asking me about the storyline.
Sigh they don't allow me to embed the longer and original trailer... Which is obviously nicer.
I love the song they used in the original trailer.
There's a tune that starts at 0:39 which I feel really adds to the entire mood of the song. Because it resembles the wail of sirens during emergencies or wartime, and in a sense, this is sort of an ominous backdrop signifying the impending rebellion which is gonna take place in the next two installments.
I read up on Wiki, and I love the symbolism of the Mockingjay.
I guess it's only a matter of time before I start reading the books.
