This movie.
It's a tad long (I mean, 170+ minutes), and somewhat confusing (confession: I had to refer to wiki again and again while I was watching it, careful not to read the spoilers), but there was just something about it that makes you think deeper.
Which is why now I really really wanna read the book. Another book to add to my very long to read list. Sigh.
This image shows the different actors who acted as different people in the different stories and their level of goodness/ evilness.
One thing that really intrigued me was how the directors chose to reuse the ensemble actors in the 6 or 7 different yet interlinked plots.
So you pretty much have female actors acting as males, male actors acting as females, Asian actors acting as Westerns, Western actors acting as Asians, young actors acting as old people et cetera.
Which turned out to be pretty hilarious when you see Tom Hanks as a gangster whose diction is 90% made up of vulgarities. Or Ben Whishaw as an elderly female. Or Hugo Weaving as a Korean (they made his eyes so tiny it was kinda hilarious). Or Hugo Weaving as an fat angsty nurse working in an old folks home.
And this infographic pretty much sums up everything. It's rather informative.
Oh gosh I really need to read this book.
