#1427 I'm taking a stand to escape what's inside me
Wednesday, 29 April 2015

I don't understand why some people always have the right numbers at the right places and the right looks, while I'm the extreme opposite. you have no idea how much I hate the way I look and as "heartwarming" and "inspiring" as those "love all types" campaigns are, the fact remains that some are still better and I am among the most unsavoury ones and I fucking hate myself for that

#1426 I'm only a man with a chamber who's got me
Tuesday, 28 April 2015

After watching so many Korean dramas, I've realised that Western ones can be unbelievably draggy.

#1425 if this problem lies in me
Monday, 27 April 2015

Realisations of the day:

One
Suppose a person from the 17th century time travels to our present, and because of this, history (at least, what is history to us) changes. However, no one will know that history has changed, because the people in the present day won't know what was supposed to have happened, and because the time traveller does not know what will happen in his future.

In that case, could history have changed countless times without our knowledge? But then again this is assuming someone from the past time travels here.

Two
In this case, suppose someone from the present time travels to the 17th century, and changes history while he is there. Will he, for a short while, realise that he has changed history? Or will he not realise it at all, because the different history that he created will be the history that the young him learned, and thus the "different" history was a real history to him?

Three
No more time travelling.

I have just realised that when it comes to conjugations and tenses, Chinese is actually quite the winner. It doesn't have any crazy conjugations for specific pronouns for specific tenses. You just have to use words like 已经, 以前, 得下, etc. Very handy indeed.

#1424 I get the feeling that just because, everything I touch isn't dark enough

Han Yi's thoughts after watching a number of sageuks:
  1. Old men in ministerial/ governmental positions are either kind, generous, instantly loveable grandfathers fighting for justice and standing for the people, or are extremely detestable bastards who oppress the people and scheme and plot for power and wealth. There is no in between.
  2. High treason.
  3. Someone is framed for number 2 by the latter version of number 1.
  4. At least one girl will trip over her annoyingly poofy dress and fall down while running away from her pursuers in the forest.
  5. Fake beards and moustaches.
  6. Even faker sideburns.
  7. Gisaengs. There's always at least one.
  8. Some reference to the injustices of the social system.
  9. Jail scene.
  10. The men have nicer and a wider variety of clothes. Period. (no pun intended)

#1423 and if I seem dangerous, would you be scared?
Monday, 20 April 2015

sentence that best describes my life: anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

#1422 if I told you what I was, would you turn our back on me?
Wednesday, 15 April 2015

as if that day can't get any worse

#1421 I was never one for pretenders, everything I tried to be, just wouldn't settle in
Saturday, 11 April 2015

when everything around you is just making it worse; is this what is meant by you can only trust yourself?

#1420 ever since I could remember, everything inside of me just wanted to fit in
Friday, 10 April 2015

pas assez grande, pas assez intelligente, pas assez belle, pas assez symétrique, pas assez mince, pas assez extravertie, pas assez sympa, pas assez photogénique, pas assez gentill, pas assez réaliste, pas assez focalisée, pas assez courageuse

it's like someone up there really hates me, and gave me the worst for everything there is

juste pas assez, et rien ne changera jamais

#1419 and I see fire burn auburn on the mountain side
Wednesday, 8 April 2015

So I finally got done to consolidating a playlist for whenever (if ever often) I use the treadmill.

1. Imagine Dragons - Ready Aim Fire

The bass that drops at 0:31 just makes you want to dance. Complete badassery.

2. Imagine Dragons - Warriors

For its enhanced badassery. Note the vague dystopian background theme that starts at 0:06.

3. Katy Perry - Dark Horse

Apart from the music video that has rightfully earned its place on The List Of Music Videos That Don't Really Make Much Sense (together with Imagine Dragons' Radioactive and What Does The Fox Say), this song is just so cool. Including the bass. (I really like The Bass, if you haven't noticed by now)

4. SS501 더블에스오공일 - Deja Vu 데자뷰

An oldie (in terms of how long I've liked it).

5. SS501 더블에스오공일 - Love Ya

A classic. Aka the song that always reminds me of their parting.

6. SS501 더블에스오공일 - Love Like This 네게로

What I (for some weird, unfathomable reason) always remember as Love Ya's more cheerful cousin.

7. TVXQ 동방신기 - Keep Your Head Down 왜

One word: BASS.

8. TVXQ 동방신기 - Mirotic 주문

Aka (one of the) BEST. SONG(s). EVER. Also one of the few songs that just make me want to dance.

9. TVXQ 동방신기 - Tri-Angle

Also on The List Of Music Videos That Don't Really Make Much Sense. As in, that hair. Thank god today's boybands are (mostly) past this era.

Songs That Were Too "Gentle" To Go On My Jogging Playlist But Are The Best Nevertheless:

JYJ - Creation

What I felt when I first listened (and whenever I still listen to) to this song: like dawn breaking over the vast horizon. Like stepping into paradise. Like waking up to a fresh start. Like finally picking yourself up. Like finally reaching the top.

Jang Jae In 장재인 ft. NaShow 나쑈 - Auditory Hallucation 환청

The pain in this song is just. So. Raw.
